The Boston Bruins defeat the Pittsburgh Penguins with a 2-1 victory at home.

This is Boston's second victory of the season against Pittsburgh, and Jeremey Swayman played a key part in getting this victory.

All the scoring occurred within the first 20 minutes of the game. 42 seconds into the game, the Penguins started the scoring with a blue line goal from Erik Karlsson.

However, the Bruins responded with a pair of goals within 50 seconds of each other. Marat Khusnutdinov started the scoring with a snipe from the right face-off dot following a corner battle.

Then Casey Mittelstadt put the Bruins in front with a rebound goal assisted by Nikita Zadorov.

The remainder of the game was a defensive battle on both sides. Both teams traded penalties in the second period, and the Bruins blanked the Penguins in the third to secure the win.

Boston will now travel to Nashville to take on the Predators on Thursday. Puck drop will be at 8 p.m.
